      I’m no cook – Taken up duties as head shopper/cooker after years of having wonderful meals served to me. Never did much cooking so didn’t expect much but have found with this slow cooker and a decent recipe I can make really good dishes. I admit knowing nothing about other cookers so can’t compare, I just really love this one.

      Very good at what it does… – If you’re a fan of All-Clad products, this might be the slow cooker for you. It’s solid and well made, looks nice sitting on your countertop, and it generally performs quite well compared to other slow cookers I’ve tried.

I hated to pay so much more for a slow cooker, but I had been through several cheap ones in just a couple of years so I finally decided to push the “add to cart” button despite the high price tag. I am glad I did. There are a variety of slow cookers available for a reason, so this one will not fit everybody, but I will highlight why it works for me. Other’s reviews helped me find the right one so I figure I should do one. I fretted over size. Since we are only a family of 3, I don’t really need 6.5 quarts for everything, but for a roast or corned beef the bigger size is a must. I have also read ovals cook better than round for roast-like meat. So those two factors were what settled me on size. I have found the slow cooker does just fine when I cook smaller batches like soup. I do not regret the bigger size.
