      Wonderful – This is a very versitile machine. Since I many fix small recipes my huge Kitchenaid wasn’t meeting my needs. This machine with the blade extender works perfectly. I made a 6″ cake and icing with no problem using the added bowl scraping attachment. Made cookies and was so nice to not need to chane blades from start to finish.

Alas, my efforts proved too much for my Cuisinart stand mixer (which was purchased before I caught the bread bug). We chose that particular mixer because it had a more powerful motor than the KA Artisan, but still, over time, it began to labor and overheat. Eventually, it would shut down mid-knead, and wouldn’t start again until it cooled off. I knew it was a matter of time, so off I went to find a powerful mixer that could withstand the heavy dough I was preparing.
