Good but hard to clean! – This cold-brew coffee maker makes a great cup of cold-brew coffee. I would definitely recommend it. There is only one flaw and I don’t know if it is only in mine or with all of them. When I attempted to remove the carafe from the stainless-steel holder it would not budge. I have put an ample amount of pressure into attempting to twist them apart but no luck. My biggest fear is while trying to twist the carafe out it breaks in my hand. I have tried hot water, cold water, hot water on the outside, and cold water on the inside but still no go. As I examined it, I noticed that the carafe does not sit all the way down in the stainless-steel holder. It looks like the glass is wedged tightly in the holder. I just like the idea of drying it all out and not leaving water to sit in between the two.

– I worry every time I’ve used this that I’ll get cut by the laser cut steel ring lid assembly. The rubber seals are too tight, so you have to grip down on the the lid assembly to pry it lose, risk getting cut, then the rubber seal falls lose as you dangle the core dripping coffee above the carafe to just pour one serving. The design assumes you’ll consume the whole carafe in 1 go – there’s no way to remove the core and just use the lid – no easy way to dispense single portions at a time, without going thru the aforementioned process. Packaging has safety / sharp edge warnings – but not acceptable manufacture in this day and age. Also, why not provide a dedicated post-brew lid?
