The first one was a crackpot Crock-Pot (sorry, I just had to), but the replacement is fine… – I’m not giving five stars because the first one was defective and for another reason I cite below. It was clear the first one was NOT damaged in shipping, because the box was totally fine– pristine, even. What’s more, there was no damage to any of the Styrofoam that surrounded it and that it had been packed in from the factory. The Crock-Pot inside, though, had a big ding on the front and was out of round such that the crock wouldn’t sit in it right and wouldn’t seat all the way around the circumference of the rim and so was tippy. Something had clearly happened to it at the Rival (the company that owns Crock-Pot) factory and it got boxed up and distributed anyway.

Super buy! – This product. does everything it claims and more. The only thing that concerned me was the statement about the weight of it. I am 89 years old and the storage place I have for it is at floor level. When I saw 12+pounds I hoped I would be able to handle it. I might have purchased the 7 quart had I realized the individual pieces could easily be lifted to the counter top one at a time!

Cooks fast. – I really like this Crockpot, but I learned quickly that it cooks a little faster than my others. I checked the first roast I cooked, and it was done about an hour and a half early. But, I like mine still chunky, not shredded. Love that it automatically goes to warming mode.
