As powerful as my corded Kitchenaid Hand blender, bonus safety feature – I was looking for a powerful, easy to clean, cordless hand blender to replace my aging corded Kitchenaid hand blender that served me well for about 8 years but the cord started fraying. I wanted something that provided the same power but without the cord. I looked at the both the Kitchenaid KHB2561OB cordless version and this Cuisinart and ultimately chose the Cuisinart since it had a larger diameter blade and a better warranty.

I love this stick blender! – UPDATE : Well, a replacement blender body arrived today. I am so relieved because I need it every day. Especially because it is so quite. My husband must sleep late in the mornings. I get up very early to feed the animals. This stick blender is from a trusted brand, is easy to use, not too heavy, has adjustable blending power, is VERY QUIET, and is long enough to use in a fairly deep pot or container. This is my SECOND Cuisinart CSB-400CD Cordless and Rechargeable SmartStick Hand Blender. I had to call and write twice to Cuisinart support when this second blender also stopped working after three months, but the company came through today. It restored my confidence in the Cuisinart brand which I have always purchased. I am changing my rating because of this.

Heavy – I love this immersion stick blender because it is cordless. I also love it because it has a safety feature that makes it impossible for my toddler to turn it on. To turn it on a couple buttons have to be pressed and my son cannot figure it out. The highest speed can go pretty fast, which is why it is kind of loud. A huge con about this product is how heavy it is. The handle is quite long and the weight of this make it hard to use it for an extended period of time because my arm starts to get tired quickly. I wish this came with a storage bag because there are quite a few pieces between the cord and attachments, which makes it difficult to keep all of the pieces together in one spot. I would buy this again because the cordless aspect is so nice to have.
