It’s surprisingly lightweight, considering its size (14” inches in diameter), so it’s very portable, and I plan to do some cooking with it out on the deck in the summer. It’s ideal for cooking large meals for parties or for meal prepping. I picked this over a hot plate/skillet/pot combo because I only have to worry about storing one thing and because it’s attractive enough to store in plain sight. All my stuff is a light aqua/mint color, so it fits right in.

Excellent large skillet, but beware of lid seal popping off – Updated 5.26.21 — I’ve had this new ‘replacement’ skillet for just over a week, and have discovered an annoying problem with the lid. This version of the skillet has a black rubber seal around the lid, whereas my old one just had a metal rim/trim. The problem is, this seal randomly pops off when it gets damp or steamy –and it’s RIDICULOUSLY hard to get back on, if you only have two hands! (helps to have another set of hands help get the thing back on, or else it’ll slip right back off when you get halfway round). I’m VERY glad I kept my old lid when I threw my old skillet away, and now I have resorted to using it instead of the new one with the seal. Demoted to 4 stars.

Rubber Gasket came loose and I cannot get it back on – Great skillet. Hard to achieve an exact temperature because it is hard to see the markings. The rubber gasket came off and I cannot get it back on. Before it popped off it was really tight and nice. Now there is a space between the lid and the skillet so the steam escapes. The skillet is large enough to cook almost anything you want, even for a large family.
