Such a great gift! – My niece, who is 5 years old, LOVES to play cook and do the whole restaurant thing. So I thought for Christmas last year, it would be fun to gift her with something she could actually cook with. I ended up getting her this and a Minnie mouse cooking apron + hat, as well as some mug cake mix. It was a major hit! She absolutely loves it.

Not bad but not great – It’s ok but they could provide the first mix

It’s great but…Can’t find replacement liners – I’ve looked at so many stores but can’t find the replacement liners. Standard size too big, small size are too small. Too hard to clean if you don’t use a liner

Fun kitchen gadget for baking with toddlers/young kids! – I got this for my 4 yr old for Christmas. She is obsessed with the you tube kid baking videos and it was a great fit. They are smaller than I had envisioned (imagine a puffy oreo), but since I purchased it as a fun, cooking/quality time gadget for my kiddo, I am not disappointed. We used the provided cupcake liners and tbh, I don’t think they are worth it. The cupcakes are so mini, you end up losing more cake to the liner. After two rounds of those, I switched to cooking spray and preferred that. Once it was cool, I wiped it down with a damp soapy paper towel, and a 2nd wipe to clean up and it was fine. For batter, we used 1/3 of a bag of boxed cake mix and divided the wet ingredients by 3, and it worked out fine. That made about 4 or 5 batches of 4 mini cupcakes. They were soft and moist, almost like eating a cake pop. The instructions suggest 3-4 mins of cooking time, but 5 mins seemed better to me. One of the other reviews suggested trying those single serving mug cake mixes. We bought a box and will try it on our next round. The outside will heat to a very warm temp, but you shouldn’t get burned touching the outside. The inside of course will burn, so depending on the child, I would suggest adult supervision. Overall, if you’re into these kinds of kitchen gadgets, or know a kid who is, I would recommend it.

Easy to use – Very easy to use and makes great cup cakes. Be careful though, because of the cup cakes small size it’s easy to eat too many. My grand kids and I love making cup cakes in this mini cup cake maker. We had fun with it.

Great Easy Bake Oven alternative – We bought this for my daughter instead of an easy bake oven. First off, it’s much cheaper than the easy bake oven. Second, it’s so easy to clean up, especially since it includes cupcake liners. We followed the advice of other reviews to use the microwave mug cake packets and love that one packet makes 4-5 cupcakes with very little extra ingredients needed or much prep. Within 3-4 minutes you have delicious cupcakes, and they’re small enough to not feel guilty when you eat all 4!
