      Great Quality for Price – We broke our old kettle and stumbled upon this one, it is quite nice and with filtered it has been easy to keep clean. What time is ok, faster than my tea kettle, however I have to ding this for noise. It is quite lower, I find myself turning my TV volume up to hear it over this kettle.

      Looks so good – Purchased this after breaking my favorite electric kettle. Glass with plastic “sleeve” and stainless steel removable lid. I liked that kettle so much I bought one for my mom. Worked well, but I managed to knock it to the floor in just the right way and broke it.

Visually very pleasing, and interior is all stainless steel. Powerful enough to heat the water pretty quickly. Top stays at about 45 deg when opened with the finger push button, and can be opened wider manually. Makes a creaking noise that’s a bit scary when you do open it past the 45 deg position (e.g. to set it in the bottom of the sink while filling it with water), but that doesn’t seem to be harming anything. Empty completely and leave the lid in the 45 deg position for a few minutes to let the interior try, and it will stay very nice inside.

      Plastic smell in the water – It’s working but I’m genuinely puzzled. It has a strong plastic smell in the boiled water after I used it for 2 weeks. The interior is indeed all metal. But still, after I pour the water in the cup, it has an unpleasant smell. In the beginning I thought the smell was from the kettle, which has plastic parts that were heated up. But no, actually the plasticky smell is from the water.
