Love this Teapot – When our old kettle died, my wife and I wanted to get something better than the old heat-em-up-quick water boiler. I spent hours researching and finally came down to this Paris Rhone unit vs the Cuisinart Perfectempt. The Perfectemp was rated as the top unit in most of the reviews that included it; while the Paris Rhone usually wasn’t even mentioned. We chose this unit largely because the Cuisinart was noticeably more expensive with both units having comparable features. The Paris Rhone appears to be made in France and contains a highly rated British heating unit. The Cuisinart is made in China. The Paris Rhone weighs 2.59 lbs, while the Cuisinart weights 1 lb. To me that translated into sturdiness and quality.

Beware of the noisy beeps – otherwise, good – I like the sleek lines of the kettle, and the variety of heat settings, but I hate the beeping it makes when you set it onto the element or press a button, or the multiple beeps when the water is hot. I contacted the company to ask if the noises can be disabled and alas, it’s not possible. I’m currently asking friends and family if they want to trade their quiet kettles for my noisy one. So far, no takers.

Great Electric Kettle – I just received the Rhone electric kettle to replace the one I had with a pedal type switch. The pedal mechanism broke which made the kettle unusable. The Rhone kettle has easy to use buttons on the top with various temperature settings. It works great and I look forward to having great success with it. Furthermore customer service has contacted me and told me they are available if I have any issues. Wow! I highly recommend this company. The kettle looks great in the kitchen and is working really well.
