Great for big items – I used this to prepare a large roast Sous Vide and it worked well. Was probably overkill, as I’m pretty sure I could have used a more normal size, but now I’ll have a better sense of when it’s needed and how it feels to use it. The gusseted bags handle a bit differently, and require a bit of care when vacuum sealing to avoid unwanted pleats that could compromise the seals. For sous vide, I always double seal each end of the bag anyway, so it wasn’t anything new. Be prepared for the vacuum process to take longer, though, as ther’s a lot of air to remove!

Great Bargain, Fully Functional – The bags are a bit thinner than the Ziploc brand, but still a perfectly good thickness. The roll itself is too large to load the whole roll in my sealer. I simply made a smaller roll and will store the rest until needed. I had no trouble sealing and all appears to be functional. I love the pleats on each side that allow the bag to expand if needed. So far so good! Great bargain!

Wonderful bags – Expand extra wide. You can vacuum seal just about anything now. I made a bag and used it to brine a17lb turkey. Very handy!

Hmm – What I wanted, however the edges consist ently kept curling which slowed down my work..

sealed up great – sealed up great no leaks

expandable vacuum sealer bags – These bags are thick like the name brand ones, one smooth side and one textured side. The gusset or expandable part is not as large as what is on the name brand gusseted bags. I felt like that made them easier to line up and get a good seal on the end when you vacuum seal. I bought these to store flour and sugar to keep moisture out. They worked perfectly for this use. I haven’t yet used them for anything else.

Excellent Value – I spatchcocked a turkey for Thanksgiving. I double bagged out of habit as there were some pretty jagged pointy bits of bone exposed as a result. Not only did the bags stretch to fit the whole turkey, but the inside of the outer bag stayed dry throughout the cook. (In other words, I probably could have gotten away with single bagging it.)
