Ongoing Review. So far, so good. – Uodate: while the filter is in, the lid will not stay locked on. This is a minor inconvenience. Just don’t pick up the jug by the lid and there is no issue. The filter is the reason I purchased this and it works fabulously. I fill it halfway with grounds and use my faucet’s sprayer to fill the jug through the filter/grounds. I put a folded paper towel on top before closing the lid to steep, usually for 12 hours. The paper towel ensures that the grounds stay submerged. I would recommend this for anyone who wants home cold brew and I would purchase again if I broke or lost this. It is fabulous for my daily fix.

Decent Cold Brew Maker – I’d had mine for a little over a year and used it frequently so I know the “ins and outs” of it. It is a decent cold brew “maker”. My only gripe with it is the amount of sediment I get at the bottom using the filter it came with but that’s with most cold brew makers there’s always some sediment.

Great jug, not so great screen. – This jug works great for my cold brew routine, but without the metal screen. I replaced the screen with a cotton nut-milk bag (not included) that I customized by stitching it down to size to just narrowly fit through the opening when the bag is full of coffee grounds. This method works great for me and I can machine easily wash the cotton bag. The metal screen that was included with this product was difficult to clean and fell apart quickly.

Drips – The first 1 I bought was fine, then it got dropped and broke the same with the 2nd one but it leaked from the nozzle. This is my 3rd one and it drips from the nozzle constantly. I have to keep something under it to catch the dripping coffee or it’s all over the place! I’ve even tightened everything up several times!

slow pouring spout that drips – This is simple enough, however removing filter is a little problematic, after coffee has brewed in refrigerator, full jar has to be removed to kitchen counter near sink to take filter out and not make mess. Lid also needs a sealing washer. Even when tight, coffee can leak out while carrying full jar if accidentally tilted. Jar is naturally a little on heavy side when full. When jar is full, one would expect coffee to pour quickly. However, it pours extremely slow, and one has to hold cup and keep refrigerator door open for longer than desired. Tried to loosen top so air could get in, but that did not help. Spout is too high on side of jar so, when coffee gets below quarter-full, you have to tilt jar. That takes two hands, so someone else has to hold coffee cup! And if you do not wipe spout, it will drip a few drops of coffee onto bottom edge of frig door frame. Messy.

This ones a toss up. – So, the concept of this thing is great. The infuser works great. We use it for teas not coffee so droppin the infuser into a pot of boiling water is nice. Then transferring contents to the pitcher.
