A clever little device – I’m really pleased with this purchase. I’ve moved to a small studio apartment and space is at a premium. In order to get rid of some of the cookware I’ve had for years, I decided to invest in something that could do multiple tasks. The manual isn’t particularly helpful as to what and how. No recipes or anything, but it does give you the rundown of types of things that can be done: sauté, bake, steam, etc. Because of its depth, the frying pan is able to do a lot of shallower pans would find difficult. So far I’ve made poached salmon, scalloped potatoes, and popcorn in the thing, and it worked beautifully. Take care with the popcorn, though. Let it pop till it’s fairly quiet then gradually lower the temperature so it doesn’t continue to pop hidden kernels when you remove the lid. I had a few popcorn kernels all over my kitchen the first time I tried it. The next thing I’ll try is making cups of crème caramel in a bath of water and moussaka with bechamel, two of my favorites.

I love this skillet – This is a decent sized skillet to handle ANYTHING I choose to cook for 2-3 people. It’s not too shallow! The nonstick is beautifully no sticky. I have yet to really “wash” it. Other than a MILDLY soapy sponge and dry clothe wipe out. The nonstick is truly nonstick. Use silicon or rubberized utensils to keep the coating intact and perfect. I have cooked so many meals in this one skillet. If you plan out your different meals you don’t need to use other pans at all. I have made complete breakfasts – casseroles – fried veggies fried chicken and pork chops as well as steamed rice etc. This skillet is a 500 watt output which is just perfect for my Jackery 1000 solar powered emergency battery unit. The heat goes up to 400 degrees which is just perfect. I have even made bread in it!! I purchased this specifically for emergency power out cooking. Instead of using a butane grill etc. because of its low watt draw. Many skillets are over a 1500 – 2000 watts range. The size is regular as in most skillets. Great for RV one pan cooking is you have the space. The legs are solid stable and do not rock at all. Actually the leg design is unique and secure. The glass lid fits snug and has the steam out hole. The only minus I see is that this is not a particularly INSULATED cooker – meaning you will get burned (kind of) on the outside metal/ceramic of cooker. The power cord fits snugly into unit and is the typical length. Meaning you need to cook pretty close to your outlet. The turquoise is very cheerful. I really love this less expensive appliance. I’m so glad to have found it and as I mentioned the low 500 watt draw is so perfect. It gets as hot as I’ll ever need it to be.

Great for travelers in hotels – I wish I would have bought this from green pan website. The shipping while I was traveling when packages arrived on time was important. In the glass top there was some defect where there’s a circle of bubbles when it gets really hot. It’s hard to describe I imagine that will crack eventually. So if I had bought it from the originally maker I’m sure they would have trouble shot that defect. Easy to wipe out, if there was a round electric pan I would purchase that. The square seems nice and more spacious but the heating element is round. So in some instance with the lid off food cooks differently depending on where the food is located to the coils. That is frustrating to learn while in a hurry with work and in a hotel environment. Nothing you can’t adjust to when you have nothing to cook with just learn placement.

Hard to see control – Just received and gave it a try before discarding box. It worked just fine. Best feature is the pink color! The control dial is tucked under the handle and hard to see. Had to use a flashlight. Other than that it seems to be quite nice.
