works well – The fryer arrived when promised and in good condition. The size is just right for our small family. It heats quickly and seems to maintain temperature well as long as you are patient and don’t overload it. Everything I’ve tried in it has turned out great. It is easy to disassemble for cleaning.

Okay deep fryer if that is what you need – but several drawbacks – After using this fryer a number of times times now, I am wondering why I didn’t go with a simpler Fry Daddy or electric skillet. This fryer heats up fast and fries nicely – especially smaller items like chicken tenders and french fries. However, there are many design drawbacks. First, it uses a lot of oil. You’ll need a quart just get past the minimum fill line. The immersive heating element alone takes up about 1/2 inch of oil and prevents the basket from going deeper into the oil. There is no pour lip to make emptying used oil easier. There are a lot of parts to clean and it can get messy (frying container, basket, lid, heating element). The heating control unit slides into place on one end but does not lock – so the whole thing can slip apart if you try to pick it up from both ends. The 24″ electric cord is very short and the magnetic connector plug pulls away easily. Overall, it does a good job of frying food quickly without having to constantly flip or turn the pieces, but all these drawbacks are annoying.
