      Great coffee maker – First cup was hot and flavorful. The only improvement I would make is the clock doesn’t light up so I can’t see if it is in bold setting in the wee hours

      Excellent budget friendly coffee maker – I bought this item after being frustrated with higher priced models, specifically Cuisinart. This also had very good pro reviews.

      Just what I was looking for! – After much research I was feeling hopeless to find a basic coffee maker. This one does not disappoint! Nothing fancy – it does the job. I like it even better than my last Oster, as the clock works! Bonus!!

There is shockingly little to drip coffee makers and for what I paid this is a cheap piece of equipment, poorly made, and overpriced. I had always associated Hamilton Beach with quality in the past and thought this was a good deal, boy was I wrong. But don’t get me wrong, it does make coffee, it works, you just aren’t getting any value for your dollar in my opinion.

      A Strange But Interesting Product – The machine makes fine coffee, given I am not a gourmet or obsessive. I have but two points not completely positive. One I think is a negative and one a mystery. Perhaps the answer to the mystery lies in the instruction bookLET but unlike supposed other males who don’t read these awfully bad English translations, I DO (that is a lie about men, I must add, fostered by a certain other sex; we simply intuitively know about mechanical things, LOL) and no answer emerges. First the minor negative; the lid does not come OFF the pitcher but flops about when I wash it out after pouring. I’d have rathered a detachable top for cleaning. The MYSTERY is that when I want a certain amount of cups I DISCOVERED I NEED TO ADD ONE MORE. FOR SOME MYSTERY REASON ONE CUP WORTH OF WATER VANISHES, POOF. So if I want 10 cups, I fill to 11. ETCETERA. This is okay because I rarely have to make more than 10 at a time, if ever. If I wanted a 12 cupper, I’d just have to smile my coffee stained toothy grin and brew another!
