Great Hand Mixer – Seems like a lack of power unit, but it works great. Would buy this mixer again.

Does just what you would hope – Can’t say anything negative. Does just what you want just perfectly.

Happy – Needing to replace a dying Kitchen Aid, I thought I’d ‘upgrade’ and bought a 9 speed Braun. I returned it because I found it hard to control, and because it flung dough all over the counter and floor.

Don’t let the speed complaints fool you… – I was nervous to purchase this because of the comments about lower speed, but now I know exactly why so many others weren’t concerned about it. Yes, this mixer does not go nearly as fast as my previous mixers (the last of which broke while making a stiff buttercream), but there’s a reason why – the beaters. Notice how they’re thinner and shaped differently than the standard, flat-edged beaters? Other mixers need higher speeds because those flat-edged beaters hold onto whatever you’re mixing and get clogged easier. The ones that come with this mixer do all the work for you.

Excellent product – Great product-worth the money. Smooth transition thru gears so doesn’t poof flour out of bowl. light weight, clean design.

FINALLY A HAND MIXER WITH A TRUE SLOW SPEED – I purchased hand mixers from 2 major brands, all toting multiple speeds. I was shocked when I used the first mixer to mix dry ingredients with an egg. The speed would have whipped cream and the powder went everywhere. In fact, it was difficult to tell much difference between the speeds. They were all basically FAST, FASTER, FASTEST! I contacted the first brand 4 times to complain and get an exchange, but they told me they were all even faster than the one I have. The 2nd mixer was a higher end brand but it was exactly the same. There essentially was no slow, mixing speed. I struck gold with this Kitchen Aid hand mixer. The slow, mixing speed is PERFECT. It is lighter weight than my 2nd purchase, and the beaters are thicker and much better quality than both prior purchases. The bottom line is you get what you pay for. I also have the counter Kitchen Aid that is decades old and still works great. Just not as handy as using a hand mixer for quick every day jobs.

Small Kitchen Aid mixer… Who Knew? – I really love this mixer! I recently had to replace my older off-brand stand mixer which failed. I have always wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer but can’t really justify spending hundreds of dollars when I only make cookies or packaged cake mixes occasionally. I turned to Amazon, where I can read reviews and make an informed decision. Most of the lower priced hand mixers ($20-40) had mixed reviews where the buyers didn’t like the fact that the starting speed was too fast and threw ingredients all over the place. Then I broadened my search and found that Kitchen Aid makes some wonderful small mixers which are well priced and have the reputation of quality behind the name. The mixer arrived yesterday and I just tried it out today. The beaters are smaller than I am used to, but that means I can use a smaller bowl. The mixer has 7 speeds and always starts off on the slowest speed when you turn it on. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed and efficiency with which I was able to make up a batch of tollhouse cookie dough. It was amazing that when I started blending in the flour that I didn’t have to shield the top of the bowl to prevent a cloud of flour dust. This is a great addition to my kitchen and I expect to be using it for a long time.

I’m in love – I love this hand mixer. I was so sad when the mixer I’ve had for 23 years died. But this new one is the most awesome mixer I have ever used. It’s so powerful and easy to use. It was worth every penny!
