Draws a lot of current, so blows GFCI. But great kettle. – I was bummed that I couldn’t plug this in on most of my kitchen counters because it blows the GFCI. But once I found a place to use it I love it. It heats water incredibly fast. I like the small size because I only make one or 2 cups of tea/coffee at a time. It’s a bit large for travel, but it’s not huge. (I use my small plastic “hot pot” from the 80’s for travel.)

Great for smaller households – So far, so good. This kettle was recently bought to replace our original Brentwood kettle that we loved. As Brentwood prices had almost doubled, since our last purchase, we picked this model instead. This kettle is short, fat and stout. Great size for a small household. The window is convenient and it also has a filter. Very quiet to operate. Relatively quick heat time. The auto-shutoff is nice for the absent minded. If there was 1 nit-picky thing to gripe about, it would just be the Very light, hollow base. Our last kettle had a solid, heavy base. This one is going to take a few weeks to settle down as the thick cord tilts it up. Picayune complaint, tho. Better than a sauce pan on the stove!
