Convenient but – This is a very novel item. It browns the tips of the hot dog buns but leaves the center of the hot dogs cool. The outside of the hot dog gets cooked and is hot, however the center is lacking. Might just be my particular unit.

then you might not be hugely disappointed. This is – Let’s be real people, this isn’t supposed to be some magic hot dog maker that whips out $10 ballpark style weiners. If you don’t buy this thinking that you will be able serve a magical gourmet meal, then you might not be hugely disappointed. This is, after all, just a toaster that you can fit a hot dog and its bun inside. That’s it. Keeping that in mind, you should automatically assume that homemade or bakery style buns will not fit in here. No, you cannot fit a bratwurst inside this, and I don’t know why you would imagine that you could either. If you focus on the actual facts with this appliance then you will find the following:

The epitome of Decadent Western Boomer Capitalism – Well it’s a hot dog toaster, it serves no other purpose other than to make hot dogs at ease. Like all boomer driven consumer products it’s shiny, excessive, slightly grotesque, and of course disappointing in that you somehow expect more from it, yet it fails. Demonstrating the pinnacle of success of our country with our culture of convenience while showcasing it’s grotesque, excessive, decadence, and ever lurching decline.

A fun nostalgic item! – The one and only issue we have with his product is the fact that the buns often get stuck in the machine but other than that this is a perfect little gadget…

Only things I can comment on is that not all buns work well with this item. Changing brands will solve the problem that is they can get stuck when trying to pop back up. Also, I love my hot dogs burnt so I run them through 3 cycles !! But that is just personal preference.
