Hard to add premeasured packages to it. – I like the machine although it’s difficult to load with the ingredients. The distance (opening) from the kettle and its cover is small. Already bought a bigger one. If you love popcorn spend the extra money and get at least a 8 oz capacity machine.

Too small and hard to use – This popcorn machine does an adequate job of heating the oil and the popcorn tastes all right, though there are always burned kernels in the bottom no matter how we spread them out. My main issue is that the machine is just too small, and it is difficult to lift the lid or release the cooking pot because the lever doesn’t release consistently. The way it’s set up doesn’t work – the little lever that holds up the cooking pot is slightly too big, so you have to jiggle it back and forth to release and make sure you reset it exactly right when you place it back in the upright position. We’ve had the whole implement come crashing down inside the machine while it was cooking popcorn more than once. It is also hard to manipulate the cooking pot if it’s not adjusted correctly because it gets quite hot and there’s not much room for your hands. We will probably look for a bigger, sturdier machine to replace this one.

The rotating rod scratched up the pot/kettle so much I don’t know if it’s safe for use – The door was cracked upon delivery but I kept it since it was still usable. The popcorn tastes just like movie theater popcorn and my kids really love it. Unfortunately the rotating rod which moves the popcorn kernels around the kettle scraped off the black non-stick layer, I took the rod out and repositioned the sides so it won’t scape it any more but now I need a replacement kettle and not sure if I can even get one :/
