Simple to use, inexpensive small batch deep fryer. – The Presto fry daddy is a very simple, convenient, easy to use counter top deep fryer. I recently purchased this newer version, but this has been my experience after years of use in my kitchen with the older versions. I don’t seem much change in design but maybe some minor improvements…

Simple to use – It’s simple to use, easy to clean. It heats fast. I just wish it was bigger, and I wish it had a light or other notification about the oil being hot enough. It makes enough for 2-3 people tops. Works great, just wish it was a little. . . more.

Works well but missing some features. – Is a nice small fryer but it does not have adjustable temperatures. There is also no power light which is inconvenient but no biggie. It didn’t come with a fry basket but did come with a plastic scoop. The most irritating thing about it though is there is no proper lid, just a plastic lid like that on a coffee container. It can’t be used while frying and have to wait for the unit to cool down before the lid can be placed back.

This is a “bare bones” appliance, but it works pretty well – The Fry Daddy works pretty well if you live alone and occasionally want to fry something. I bought the small size (7.25″ dia, 7.5″ high). I don’t even know if they make a bigger one. But overall, it works pretty well to make a single serving of frozen french fries or Pizza rolls. The odor of frying in oil tends to linger (which I find unpleasant), but quite frankly, I have never been all that satisfied with the results when using my air fryer. I thought the Fry Daddy might be a better alternative. Overall, I would have to say it is. I use palm oil (instead of canola oil) which seems to leave less of a smell. The Fry Daddy has a very tight fitting cover, which should help to keep the oil from going rancid.

Easy frying! – Bought this a couple months ago and just used it for the first time to fry fish for a birthday dinner. Fish came out perfect! It was easy to setup (when you plug it it in, it automatically starts heating up so add your oil first). Only thing I wish it had was a temperature gauge so you’d know how hot it is or is getting — otherwise if you’re new to frying def get this!! I fried whiting fish for 3 mins each piece and everyone loved it 🙂

Yum ! French Fries ! – I’ve owned this about 2 months now. It’s the perfect size for a single / couple. Much easier and less messy than using a pan on the stove. It also seems safer , as it’s a bit scary with hot oil on your stovetop. This has a short cord and an easily pulled out magnetic plug to avoid mishaps. It heats up quickly, with our fries being done in maybe 10 minutes from plugging it in. Very handy for a quick snack or side dish with your burger . It’s easy to clean . You of course can’t immerse it in water, but it’s very lightweight and easy to wash out with soapy water. It also comes with a tight- sealing lid to store it away for next use. It also includes a strainer to drop in and remove your food.
