Really does pop like 95% of kernels – Bought this about a month ago and have used it like 30 times haha. Honestly it’s a lot better than the cheapo $15 microwavable popcorn maker I had before. I don’t typically clean this every time, but you do have to hand wash both parts. I’ve saved so much money on popcorn since buying this instead of the instant bags. I give it like a nine out of 10 overall, it’s really worth the extra money for me. Definitely try to get good microwavable popcorn, instead of the cheapest bag you can find at the store. Also you need to put on olive oil before you start cooking, the butter on top thing didn’t work so well for me honestly, but it might for some people. Popcorn cooks in about two minutes and some of the kernels come out a little bit hard but there’s a definite technique to using this machine

Overall good product – It claims you can melt butter over the vents to be incorporated into the popcorn while it’s popping. I’ve tried twice now with small pats of soft room temperature butter placed over the vents at the top and had no such success. Now maybe it’s because I’m only cooking the minimum amount of popcorn so there isn’t enough time to melt, if that’s the case it’s unfortunate because I’m usually only cooking enough for 2 or 3 people eat. For this reason I gave it 4 stars otherwise everything else is great about it.

Here is my hack for getting rid of the soggy popcorn. – I hope this popper lasts a few years, and it seems like it will, but surprisingly it makes a small amount of soggy popcorn, just like everyone says. It’s not the popcorn or amount of oil. I’m doing the same thing that made perfect popcorn in a different popper. The bowl/dome just doesn’t let much vapor out the top. I only got some soggy popcorn, but any is a fairly gross thing for popcorn, unless it’s soggy with butter. No, it’s soggy with water from the condensation. Yuck.
