like the black color – Had a white one for 10 years, finely stopped working. This one heats up fast, only compliant the cord is shorter and plugging the cord into the base is hard to do. Since I am older person and my fingers are stiff it can be a challenge sometimes.

On/off thumb tab at top of kettle lights up when heating and turns off on own when water reaches boiling temperature. Most recent purchase was November 2022. It works very well as advertised. Great for heating water for making tea, boiling water for French Press coffee or making 5 minute oatmeal or freeze-dried soups. Good for taking on camping trips to heat water to wash dishes or whatever you need hot water for if you have electric power.

I use bottled, and/or filtered water in it and a white hard buildup formed (maybe calcium) inside on coil. I let it sit with vinegar and rinsed well white buildup cleaned right off. Cord must be in firmly or it will just stop heating.

I use it every day! – I love this electric kettle! I have it in my office and I use it every morning for my instant coffee. 4 months of use and it still looks and works like new. Auto turnoff for safety in case I walk away, water is hot to perfection and it’s very easy to clean. I can also use it to make instant oatmeal, ramen noodles, and anything that required boiling water. It’s not loud and I love that it does not “ding” when done – nice and quiet for the office.
