      Love the idea of reducing the use of plastic bottles – The bottles are a bit expensive, but handy to have several on hand so you have sparkling water, whatever flavors you enjoy, cold and ready. I would like it if the mouth of the bottle was a bit larger for adding measured liquid ingredients.

      Plastic bottle lids oxidizes quickly – I’m here to report that after 6 Months of daily use, I’ve noticed the plastic lids have severely oxidized. In the image you can see the lid I’ve had for two months of daily use

      Excellent product with just one flaw – I love my Sparkel and use it just about every day – needed some bottle to increase my ‘stock’ of water in the fridge. The only thing I don’t like about these bottles is the intermittent leak from the bottom. Even without any pressure, they seem to leak from the seal. It’s doesn’t effect the ability to maintain the pressure, and it’s only water so it’s not life shattering, but it is a bit annoying. Even after removing the bottom and reseating it, it is hit-or-miss on the leaking. They are, however, very sturdy and do the job that is expected so I just knocked 1 star for the intermittent leaking.

      Great Product! – I love my Sparkel carbonation system! These bottles work great and my latest purchase of them looks like they updated the molds (from the one I got with the machine) to have the top lid gasket seal better/stay in place. The only thing that is a little annoying is when the bottle “sweats” from the humidity in the air and then pools in the lower groove between the bottle and the lower seal. When you go to drink it if you are not careful it will dribble the collected condensation onto you from that groove. Eliminating this gap would be a great improvement; I do not know if this limitation is due to the injection molding process but would be a great improvement if changed. All around still very happy with this system.
