Works!! For the $$ its great, fast, and easy to clean – This gadget is really growing on me!! Mistly how fast and handy. Ok power cord is short and that is what it is… it is loud and that is what it is… it works well and does its job!! Not a lot of steam escapes it, and doesn’t have a keep warm option. For the dollars you can’t get everything. Good to boil water. The bottom has blue LED light around the bottom while on pretty cool. Has 2L so good capacity. Very good and fast to boil water. Shipping was fast. And was delivered on time in this day and time is good.

Nearly Caught On Fire – Would have given it high marks until recently. In fact I suggested my mother in law buy one, but probably shouldn’t have. Bought this thing in May of 2021 and worked great despite the fact that water tasted kind of plastic like (probably due to the “stainless steel lid” that is actually silver colored plastic), but went to use it last night and walked away to do something in another room. I soon started to smell a strong plastic smell and returned to the kitchen to find that the kettle had failed to shut off and the on/off switch had actually started to melt. Thankfully I found it when I did because based on its condition in the very short time I stepped away, it would have no doubt caught fire completely. This is NOT a safe product.
