Perfect for me & Easy to use – Did you know you can bring an electric cooktop in your checked or carryon luggage? I am coffee addict & love MY coffee. If possible, where ever I go, I bring my coffee preparation items & often am missing just the heating mechanism (I use a small italian stovetop coffee maker) if I’m staying at a hotel. Short version: I needed a small cooktop to put in my luggage. This was perfect for my needs. It worked well from the first time I used it; it is simple to use & they will extend the warranty if you follow a simple set of directions. Handy little appliance – Being in a wheelchair, I can’t reach my stove top with safety in mind. I have an air fryer on a lower table, but you just can’t airfry everything. I noticed T.V. chefs use a “hot plate” so I decided to give it a try. It’s been a life saver. Cooks evenly and quickly. This is not your grandfather’s hot plate… ha ha It’s slim, trim, and can even sit out on your buffet table and not be a bulky eyesore.

the red light flicking on and off is the cool down period – Ok I have mixed feelings about this burner or hot plate, it heats up extremely fast boiled my soup like a champ definitely then today I cooked some hash browns and I had to keep turning the knob to Med then after a while it switched off the light then I turned the knob down from Med then brought it back up to Med and the light clicked back on so yeah it heats up quick at first but you have to keep watch over it because you have to keep that heat up enough to cook your food.

I don’t trust a gas burner on my stove and saw videos of home crafters using this type of hot plate. The surface cleans up easily. The control knob has variable heat that is easy to customize. It’s a very attractive product compared to the coil heating element version.

Good Hot Plate – Am using this for dyeing fabric. It works very well. Boils water quickly, and was able to keep it simmering for a few hours without any problems. It’s very clean looking, stable and easy to use. I thought the price was reasonable compared to other hot plate options that were available at the time. Hope it continues to work this way for future dye processes.
