A few things you should be aware of…. – ADDED TO REVIEW ON 4/29/18: Some problems with the oven after a few months of use. First, the door hinge got stuck several times causing the door not to close. This issue has been reported in other Amazon reviews of this product. Next, the timer stopped working as well. I contacted Breville and they will be replacing the oven, but I am a little suspicious of quality control after now paying attention to a few negative reviews on this page.

– love love this oven! we used the smaller version for years as our only oven and it is still going and only bought this one because of larger size, more flexibility for pans and larger roast possible etc, plus the new fun features.

– Everything about this oven is amazing except for the door. Called Breville and they were unhelpful. They acknowledged that the door doesn’t close properly but seemed annoyed when I mentioned that for the price, it should be put together much better.

Review at one year ownership update! – Edit; Breville has come back and said that they will be sending me a new toaster oven, I did have to do $195 hold on my credit card until they get the old toaster oven back in the mail. They are giving me a UPS shipping code so that is also covered. I’m glad they stepped up and backed their product. Review as changed to reflect a four star rating.

Happy baker! – I got this Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro BOV900 to replace a 4 year old BOV845 whose convection fan had stopped functioning. I chose this one because I bake often and wanted a taller oven interior to accommodate a proper loaf. The photo is a banana bread in a standard 5×9 pan, showing ample clearance in this oven. The convection function seems more effective in the new unit, cooking 25 degrees F lower and faster than recipes call for. Always start checking 10 minutes or so before recipe time. All this said, I MIGHT dehydrate but will not air fry in this appliance. I feel this is what gunked up my previous oven’s convection fan, causing it to fail. There is no way to dismantle and clean this part. If someone primarily wants an air fryer, suggest just getting a dedicated and inexpensive unit, and expect it not to last long due to airborne oils inherent to the process. If you want a fully functional oven to cook for a small family without heating up the big oven/whole house, this is an awesome choice. Was also considering a Wolf Countertop oven for about twice the price but could not find any information on internal height. Decided to try one I was certain was larger inside than what I used to have. Another pro over the old one, BOV900 seems much quieter when running on convection bake. Have had for about a day and have already baked a yeast bread and the banana quick bread shown. This oven is great for baking. Next project will be a Bundt cake using lemons off my tree! So far loving this new countertop oven and Amazon beat the kitchen stores by about $50, with much faster delivery.
