Will it work – I wouhld hbave lijkmed alifhtg to indicated whben the cookie was done. Italso would have been nice to include a recipe booklet for thbis machine

Present for my sister – Bought this for my sister who is a cake decorator and she loves it

There are pros and cons – I have to admit I didn’t pay attention to the size of the pizzelles this would make. These are very small, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, just not what I expected. I was most concerned about the non stick feature and this didn’t disappoint. Every cookie came out easily. I’ve read other reviews that mention irregular cooking and issues with cooking time and I agree with this although most of my cookies turned out ok. That said, it was a real trial and error experience. My first effort resulted in a sheet of burned pizzelles (too much batter and too long cooking time). You need to use a round, pretty minuscule amount of batter and make sure it’s perfectly centered and even then some cookies are irregular. I found that mine cooked in 45 to 55 seconds but be careful, they go from not done to overcooked pretty quickly. Also, as noted by other reviewers, these pizzelles seem thinner than usual, almost like a chip. So overall not bad but a bit of a disappointment.

A little smaller than I thought – Used it to make pixells. It was a lot smaller than I was expecting

    5. M. M (verified owner)

Consistent heat & perfect Pizzelle. – I use the included recipe but substituted lemon emulsion flavoring instead of vanilla. I cook the Pizzelle for two and a half minutes.

Okay but not the best – Does not equal distribute heat. Leaves outer edges barely cooked while almost burning middle.

I wish there was a good alternative – I just made a double batch of waffles with my new pizzelle maker, which I got to replace my old double one, so I have a base of comparison. The old double is better, succinctly put. Here are the differences: 1) this one makes a pizzelle half the size, making it not impossible but close, to be able to make a really good shaped pizzelle. Its extremely difficult to gauge the right amount of batter, then position it evenly right in the center of the form so that when the top is closed, it produces a round rather than oblong waffle, or the right size. 2) this oven heats unevenly, baking one corner waffle faster than the others. 3) there is no timer on this one, and you are instructed to bake each batch 40-50 seconds. There are 2 problems with that. First, it heats erratically, meaning that any batch may bake in 50 seconds, and the very next batch is browning in 20 seconds. Second, that means then that you have to check often to see how fast any batch is baking. Its cumbersome and aggravating. 4) you have to push down on the lid for at least 5 seconds after closing it or the waffles come out too thick.

I REALLY LIKE THE “MINIATURE” PIZZELLES…BUT, KEEP A WATCHFUL EYE WHILE BAKING…THEY COOK SUPER FAST! – We love to “sandwich” them together with all sorts of ingredients, such as caramel, honey, ice cream, ganache, almond butter, Nutella (hazelnut spread), marshmallow fluff & chopped nuts, raspberry preserves, peanut butter & boysenberry jam, cherry pie filling, pastry cream, etc, etc. Your creativity will be challenged! 😀
