Does what it’s supposed to do and does it well. – Love this toaster! It toasts consistently and the thaw button is very useful for making dry toast without burning it. The only downside that takes away one star is that the bottom doesn’t flip open or remove so you have to clean the toaster by turning it upside down and shaking it.

Great Toaster – If you want a toaster that really toasts evenly, then this is the one you want. I have tried multiple toasters, from cheap to expensive and they all were crap. I read the revies about this one and decided to try it and I am very happy with it. I like the large window too, kind of a neat way to see your bread being toasted. Best Toaster Ever – This is the best toaster I’ve ever purchased (and I’ve bought many trying to get one I liked!). The retro look is perfect for my kitchen, and the window is great, but the best part is the toast. Very even browning, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Very easy to use. Haven’t cleaned it yet, but looks pretty easy judging by the instructions. You can’t beat the price at under $50. I would highly recommend this toaster.

Unexpectedly, I LOVE This Toaster! – Let’s be real, we are talking about a toaster, a TOASTER! Why should anyone want to write a review of the most used and easiest to forget ancillary appliance you own? Because the Dash Clear View Toaster is that awesome!

Smokes a lot – In most respects it works well, but if any piece of the toast or English Mufin gets dislodged it falls onto the red hot burner elements and continues to smoke until cleaned. It doesn’t fall onto the pull-out tray so the only solution is to unplug it, turn it updide down and shake it until the burned piece is dislodged. This has happened several times in the last few months. It never happened with our 2-slice side-by-side Kitchenaid toaster we used for 8 or 9 years. The Kitchenaid model had a grid of heating elements on either side and it was all but impossible for anything to fall on it, and whatever fell would be caught on the wide pull out tray.

(make my own-you should too ) You may even be able to put two slices in one slot if using regular sized bread. Great control on crust browning. I would rather buy a great toaster like the Dash that will last, than a lesser made one that I’d need to replace after a year when the plunger stops staying down: true story-wont give the maker name. Buy the Dash Clear View!!!!!
