For it’s size it’s good deal. – It made for occasional usage, not the best made but well see long term.

Dangerous deep fryer – Led “heater on” light is difficult to see. Caution- if you use only the big basket you leave 4 holes in the top for invisible steam to vent out of. While reaching for the handle to lift the lid, my hands went over these holes causing a bad burn to my wrist.

Replacement Cord Cost As Much As The Fryer – We don’t fry too often. I used the thing probably about twenty times in the two years we owned it. The cord fried and melted today while we were making fried chicken (not because of hot oil getting on it). No biggie. I’ll just replace the cord. Went online to see that a replacement cord cost almost as much as the fryer. No thanks. If you wind up in this boat, do yourself a favor and look up the part number on the cord. I have a replacement coming for $20. The fryer isn’t bad, but charging that much for a replacement cord that goes zappy and melts after a couple years of infrequent use? Shady.

No on/off switch?? – Not sure how long this will last. Feels like the thermostat dial “slips” on the knob? Unit has no on/off switch except the thermostat control… time will tell how long this will last. I bought it for its capacity and price point.
