dehydrator – the instructions could be a little better detailed .i had to go on line to find out what temp.to use for my beef jerky but the unit works very well

4 stars – 4 stars and not five for one reason: The trays. You will be frustrated trying to get them to snap in correctly, they are dishwasher safe so that’s an upside. Overall, it’s a great dehydrator. So far I’ve made a pound of jerky in it and was not disappointed.

Great dehydrator! – I am really impressed with this unit, I am making dehydrated chicken breast strips, liver and sweet potatoes for my dogs on this dehydrator and I dont have to spend large amounts of money on questionable treats and chews. With this, I know exactly what they are getting, its a great peace of mind considering all the worry about imported treats that have left our companions sick or dead! If it were to break today, I’d be buying another tomorrow!

Experimenting needed – This works well, but instructions about drying times and prep are difficult to understand. I halved cherry tomatoes and that proved too thick for drying in a reasonable amount of time. Get your instructions about prep, temp, and timings elsewhere.

Makes great jerky & apple chips – Have to let the trays soak overnight after making jerky …the marinade gets cooked with the jerky and gets hardened on the plastic trays
