Great Kitchen Addition – I bought this Ninja, because a stovetop oven that could fold up out of the way would mean not losing a lot of counter space. The unique design is great for kitchens where space is limited. It works great, once you figure it out. The instructions are not particularly helpful. The order in which buttons are pressed and dials are turned is not clear. It takes some trial and error to figure out the way to use it correctly. As previous reviewers have also said, it does get very hot on the outside. So be very careful in opening it or working around it. But once you understand all that, it’s a great little device.

The best countertop air fryer/oven – This is my go-to way to bake cookies, roast vegetables, roast meats, dehydrate fruits and vegetables, etc. It pre-heats so much faster than my oven, so I prefer to use the Ninja instead. When not in use, its flip-up feature means it doesn’t take up much counter space. The bottom is nice-looking brushed stainless and it looks pretty sleek when flipped up.

Interesting product, take a while learning how to use. – The flip up feature is why we got this, 2nd reason is our new GE range likes to have internal problems preventing us from using it, so a backup is needed anyway. We’ve been trying to use this oven for about 6 months now and have cooked all kinds of things with it. It does take some getting used to. Even when the directions state to preheat, we just put the food in when turning it on as preheating to 400 degrees takes about 90 seconds. We notice everything cooks faster, frozen foods sometimes doesn’t. Chicken nuggets sometimes have instructions for air frying but we have to almost double the time as the center isn’t very hot, not good for meat products. Pizzas cook a few minutes faster though. Still trying to dial in the toast setting we like. Seems we were on setting of 2 when we first got it and it was pretty crisp, where as we are on a 3 setting now.
