It works beautifully! – It does what it says it will do. Perfect for me. Highly recommend.

Its exactly what I wanted for our home cooking. – Its a tortilla press that is built well and works well for what I purchased it for and am going to by a second one for our home.

decent press – hardware setup aside, this is a decent made press, i was kinda scared using it at first with all the horrid stories of these types of cast iron press having their handles break during use and messing up people pretty bad but, after a few uses i am no scared of using it. i do make sure to push down on handle in center just incase though.

…Holding judgment until testing 2nd press. – I purchased this press and it broke (see pictures) within two weeks. Based on where it broke, it appears to be a natural weak point in the high stress area of the design. Very little metal load bearing area at the hinge. More metal on the integral side beams would have prevented the failure but probably saved $0.15 by marginally sizing them…however, it could have been a casting flaw so I will hold my judgement until the replacement comes. Yes, I am an engineer.

Seems to work good – Seems to work as advertised, very heavy. Found that if you rotate the tortilla it will press more evenly since the hinge side presses tighter than the handle side.

Nice if you want very thick tortillas – This is very sturdy, easy to assemble, and easy to use. However, the tortillas were very thick, and I had to roll them by hand to get them thin enough. Granted, I was making flour tortillas, so maybe this is only for corn tortillas? There is nothing in the instructions that says that, though, so it is quite disappointing for what I expected.

dough press – The dough press does not press evenly. The rear of the dough is thicker than the front. The press worked fine other than that. It was easy to assemble and easy to clean afterwards. I’ll be using it again.
